Benefits of Non-Nano Zinc Oxide

Zinc oxide is known to be one of the most commonly used minerals for skin protection, including in sunscreens, as it creates a physical barrier of the mineral on the skin, preventing the harmful UV rays from penetrating and damaging the skin.

Non-Zinc Oxide is simply zinc oxide with particles larger than 100 nanometers, forming a safe, physical barrier on the skin to block UV rays while limiting absoprtion into the body.

How long will the sun balm store?

Since our tallow balm is made with all-natural ingredients, contains no synthetic preservatives, and is whipped (which introduces oxygen into the product), we recommend using it within 6 months of opening for the best quality and freshness.

To help extend the shelf life, store the balm in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Always use clean, dry hands or a spatula when removing product from the jar to prevent introducing moisture or bacteria. The balm may soften in warm temperatures or firm up in cooler conditions. This is normal and does not affect the product’s effectiveness.

How To Use The Sun Balm

1. Add desired amount to the area of your body you are trying to protect from the sun. (You can use on your face, arms, shoulders, legs, etc.)

2. There may be a white cast that appears, but it should lessen within a couple of minutes.

3. If you have sensitive skin, or have been perspiring, or wet you want to make sure that you reapply as needed to make sure that it works as intended.

4. Recommended to reapply within 1-2 hrs.
